Relieving Letter

A relieving letter is a letter that is issued to an employee at the time of leaving a company. It is a formal method of communicating to the employee that the resignation has been accepted by the company.
Before providing relieving letter employer will make sure that employee has completed all the pending work assigned to him.

It is a official notification to the employee, that his/her resignation has been accepted and is relieved from his current Responsibilities.

As relieving letter is a official letter, company has to follow a proper Relieving Letter format.

Relieving Letter Format

The letter should be issued on the company letter head and must be signed by the concerned authority. The letter should be addressed as ‘To Whom It May Concern’. The relieving letter should consists “employer has accepted the employee’s resignation letter:. It should give credit to the employees contribution to the company. It should mention the date of joining and the date of leaving the company. You should end the letter with a thank you and best wishes for the employees future.
